Black Duck Cove
Day Park

A great place to spend a day with the family. The park is situated within a peaceful and scenic location, along the Straits of Belle Isle. The highlight of the park is a collection of miniatures that represent the architecture-style of the past. There are also lookouts, a picnic area, a playground, tennis courts and basketball nets. A great place to spend a few hours waiting for the ferry to arrive. A walk along the beach at sunset is stunning.

L'Anse aux Meadows
National Historic Site

At the tip of Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula lies the first known evidence of European presence in the Americas. Against a stunning backdrop of rugged cliffs, bog & coastline, discover the remains of the Viking encampment, (declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978). You’ll meet costumed Viking interpreters as you tour the recreated base camp and discover original artifacts from this archaeological find.
